Join us for a cream tea this Saturday
What can be a better celebration of all things English than a cream tea in a beautiful garden? That’s why we’d like you to join us for one of our delicious, homemade cream teas this Saturday in the wonderful surroundings of our newly improved garden to celebrate our Gold Anniversary as a care home.
It’s been 50 years since Rusthall Lodge was converted from the private residence of Margaret Fremlin, of the brewing company, into a care home run on a charitable ethos providing residential, nursing and respite care.
We’re celebrating with a summer garden party, 2-4pm on the 28th July. And we’d love you to join us. Children are welcome – in fact, the more the merrier!
The work has taken place on the area shown in the picture and looks wonderfully different now!
As well as our cream teas, we’ll have strawberries and ice cream while outside we'll have music from a vintage Bursens Street Organ and there will be a number of vintage cars on display.
To mark our Golden Anniversary, we’ve commissioned improvements to our gardens to enable our residents to walk around them on an even surface; the work is being undertaken by Ransome Garden Design [http://ransomegardendesign.co.uk/], based in Crowborough, who provide groundworks and landscaping services. At the centre of the new design will be a specially commissioned sundial, created by multi award-winning garden ornaments designers and manufacturers, Chilstone [https://www.chilstone.com/], based in Fordcombe. The sundial will be officially unveiled by the MP for Tunbridge Wells, Greg Clark at our summer garden party.
We’d love it if you could join us at our summer garden party on 28th July, 2-4pm – after all, you only get to 50 once!
