A Spooky Lodge?
Our residents have been scooping and cleaning out pumpkins this month in readiness for the Halloween celebrations taking place at Rusthall Lodge and in the village of Rusthall.
On the 31 October each year, Halloween (also known as All Hallows' Eve) is a time for pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, dressing up and trick or treating! Most likely originating from European harvest festivals and festivals of the dead, it is celebrated by children and adults around the world.
In recent years the UK has adopted a considerable amount of celebration antics from the United States and the parties are bigger and better than ever before.
Here at Rusthall Lodge, the residents scopped out the soft flesh from this pair and then decided what eyes to have, the shape of the nose and how many teeth the mouth should have.
While the celebrations we enjoy at Halloween are influenced greatly by our friends in America - it's all good, honest but spooky fun!
