A Distinguished Start. Still Distinctive.
Rusthall Lodge Care Home nestles on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells and in 2018 celebrates its fiftieth birthday. The Lodge is also delighted that it recently maintained its “GOOD” rating following a Care Quality Commission inspection.
A Home’s rating is important because it allows people to compare services ensuring they make the right choice of care home for themselves or a loved one. “GOOD” means the service is performing well and meeting CQC’s expectations.
The Lodge began life as the home of Miss Margaret Fremlin (of the brewery); a rather grand and distinguished Victorian house that sat in the midst of expansive and beautiful grounds. From its original purchase in the 1960’s through to now, the Lodge has adapted to the ever changing trends that have defined adult health and social care.
The staff at Rusthall Lodge strive to make sure the high-quality service they provide people is safe and effective but most importantly that it focuses on the individual; putting them at the centre of everything they do.
But what of the future? At a time when the need for compassionate, dignified care remains in the ascendance, it is the intention of everyone involved at Rusthall Lodge to build on and echo the commitment of those who preceded us; to ensure we continue to be a “Home” in every sense of the word.
Rusthall Lodge is unique. A stand-alone, not-for-profit Home that is safe, secure and still a distinctive feature of the thriving Kentish village that is Rusthall.
